Our Executive Chef, Sebastien Vaucelles, brings over 30 years of experience in the events catering industry. He began his culinary journey in France, where he trained in prestigious 2 and 3 Michelin star restaurants and 4-star hotels for over 15 years. During this time, Sebastien honed his skills under the guidance of renowned chefs, mastering the art of French cuisine and developing a deep appreciation for high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation techniques.

In 2002, Sebastien moved to England, where he continued to expand his culinary expertise by working with some of the country’s most famous event companies. His passion for creating exceptional dining experiences led him to cater for high-profile events at Clarence House, the 9/11 tenth anniversary memorial in London, The Royal Ascot, and various celebrity gatherings.

In 2019, Sebastien founded Coco Basil Catering in Rochester, Kent. His vision was to bring his extensive culinary background and commitment to excellence to a wider audience. At Coco Basil Catering, Sebastien combines his classical training with innovative techniques to create bespoke menus that delight and impress. His dedication to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients ensures that every dish is of the highest quality, making your event truly memorable.
